Our store is hosted by Shopify. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT (Value Added Tax) where applicable, unless stated otherwise. Prices exclude delivery charges unless explicitly listed. Prices and availability of products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any product at any time.

While we strive to ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of a product you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled.

Promotional Codes and Discounts

General Usage: Promotional codes are valid only on full-priced items and cannot be used on sale or marked-down items, unless specified during certain promotional events.

Application: To apply a promotional code online, enter it as requested while viewing your Bag, as part of the checkout process and prior to making payment. The discount will then be applied to your order, subject to the terms and conditions below.

Exclusivity: Promotional codes cannot be combined with any other offer.

Validity Period: Codes are valid for a limited time as specified in the marketing communication and cannot be used outside of that period.

Returns: If an item is returned and the total purchase amount falls below any qualifying level, the offer value may be deducted from any refund.

Order Acceptance: All orders are subject to acceptance. Improper use of promotional codes may result in order cancellation.

Ordering Process

Orders can be placed through our website. We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards and other payment gateways as indicated on our website. Payment must be received in full before an order is processed and dispatched.

We process orders within 3 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after receiving full payment. Please note that processing times may vary during peak seasons or due to high demand. You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed.

It is your responsibility to ensure your details are entered correctly at the time of placing the order including the shipping address. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. Please double-check your shipping address before completing your purchase. If the wrong address is entered and the parcel is delivered, we cannot resend the parcel. If the parcel is returned back to us we can resend the parcel to the customer if they are happy to pay for the cost of redelivery.

Order Cancellations

Customer Cancellations You have the right to cancel your order at any time before it has been dispatched. To cancel your order, please contact a member of our team at info@backburnercandles.co.uk as soon as possible with your order details. If your order has already been dispatched, please refer to our Return Policy for information on how to return your items.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without providing any reason. To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel by email to info@backburnercandles.co.uk. Please read our Returns Policy for full details.

Seller Cancellations: We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion for reasons including but not limited to:
- The product is no longer available.
- There was an error in the pricing or product description.
- We are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment.
- You do not meet the eligibility criteria set out in our Terms and Conditions.

In the event of a seller-initiated cancellation, we will notify you as soon as possible and provide a full refund for the cancelled order.

Please note that it may take additional time for the refunded amount to be credited to your account, depending on your bank or payment provider's policies.

We reserve the right to update or modify this Order Cancellation Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and it is your responsibility to review this policy periodically to ensure you are aware of any updates.

Shipping and Delivery

We offer the following shipping options:

Royal Mail 24 Hour Tracked Delivery. Tracked 1–2day service.Prices calculated at checkout.

Delivery is within 2-4 business days following the order being processed (excluding Royal Mail 24 Hour Tracked Delivery which is within 1-2 days of the order being processed).

Delivery estimates are provided by our shipping partners and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by natural occurrences or carrier delays.

Currently we are not able to combine orders so each will be posted separately.

At this time only offer shipping to mainland Great Britain.

Product Information and Disclaimers

Product Colourisation While we strive to display the colours of our products as accurately as possible on our website, please be aware that the actual colours you see may vary depending on your monitor or device settings. Slight variations in colour between the product images and the actual product are possible and do not constitute a defect or reason for return.

Smoke Emission Our candles are designed to provide a clean and pleasant burning experience. However, please note that due to the nature of the fragrances being burnt, some candles may emit a small amount of smoke during use, especially if the wick is not trimmed to the recommended length of 1/4 inch before each use. Ensure that candles are burned in well-ventilated areas, without draughts, to minimize any potential smoke emission. Smoke emission does not indicate a defect in the product and is a normal characteristic of burning candles.

Soy Candle Frosting Frosting is a natural characteristic of soy candles and does not affect the performance or safety of the candle. Frosting appears as a white, crystalline layer on the surface of the candle and is a sign of the candle's natural composition. This cosmetic variation is normal and should not be considered a defect or a reason for return.

Burn Time and Performance The burn time of our candles can vary based on several factors, including ambient temperature, humidity, and the frequency of use. To maximize burn time, ensure that wicks are trimmed to 1/4 inch before each use and that candles are burned for 2-3 hours at a time. Variations in burn time and performance are normal and do not constitute a defect.

Liability

Backburner Candles Ltd. shall not be held responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that arise from the use of our products. By purchasing our vegan and cruelty-free products, you agree that Backburner Candles Ltd. total liability for any claim related to the use of our products shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product(s) in question.

Our products are intended for use as described on our website. We provide detailed instructions for safe usage, which must be followed. Backburner Candles Ltd. is not liable for any death, injury or damage resulting from misuse or failure to follow safety instructions.

Our candles are made with vegan ingredients and are not tested on animals. While we strive to ensure the accuracy of our vegan and cruelty-free claims, we rely on information from our suppliers. Backburner Candles Ltd. is not liable for any discrepancies or misrepresentations by third-party suppliers.
